On September 23rd, the 2013 Annual Meeting of CIESC was held in Nanjing. Professor Cheng Di was honored with Innovation Award after Liu Changling, as chief engineer, in 2012.

Professor Cheng devoted himself to the fine chemical for the past thirty years, specially the organic wastewater treatment. He took charge of the R&D of the treatment technology of wastewater that contained aniline, nitrobenzene, phend, heterocycle and other high-toxic pollutant. This technology has been applied successfully at nearly one hundred production enterprises, which has reached international advanced level, and promoted environmental protection technology progress of the whole industry. He wrote a book named Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Technology of the Pesticide Production and published several theses. Professor Cheng has contributed to the chemical engineering environmental protection career of our country.

Hou Debang Chemical Engineering S&T Award dedicates to the memory of Mr Hou Debang for his whole life contribution to chemical industry and chemical engineering career development. This year, there are 3 Achievement Award, 9 Innovation Award and 5 Youth Award.
