On 21st to 22nd April, Mr. Xu Jidong, owner of Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award and former senior researcher of Rohm Haas, was invited to SYRICI to exchange academically. Mr. Xu is the inventor of bishydrazide insecticides. In the early years during the cooperation between Rohm Haas and SYRICI, he played an important role, especially in new pesticides synthesis personnel training.

In the morning of 22nd, Mr. Xu made a report named herbicide research progress. Beginning with the study methods and necessary conditions, he introduced the weed knowledge and explained herbicide mode of action with lots of pictures. Besides, Mr. Xu also referred experience of his own scientific research career and emphasized the leading role of human in the invention and creation, which the successful research based on a team work. The report lasted for 2 hours.
