On June 26th to 28th, hosted by Pesticide Professional Committee of CIESC, undertaken by Guizhou University (GZU) and SYRICI, the 16th annual meeting was held successfully in Guiyang. More than 150 experts and scholars all over the country attended the meeting. Professor Kang Zhuo, chairman of the committee and vice-president of SYRICI made the welcome speech at the meeting.

During the conference, the experts from ICAMA, medicine and chemical institute of ECUST, National Key Lab of green chemical and agricultural& biological engineering of GZU, Guangxi Tianyuan Biochemistry Corp., Ltd made the specific reports, and so did Liu Changling, Zhang Lixin, Liu Junli- experts from SYRICI. They discussed and exchanged ideas about new types and new methods of pesticides research; synthetic technique research, manufacturing technique improvements, treatment of three wastes and analytical methods; the pesticides processing technique, auxiliaries application and dosage form research; the bio-technology application in the pesticide research; study on the applied technology of pesticide; research on the safety evaluation; research on the new equipments of pesticide production; research on the metabolism and residual of pesticide in the environment, etc.

12 excellent papers were selected at the meeting, among which included the paper written by Guan Aiying, Chen Lin and Wang Zhanghang of SYRICI.

At the academic conference, the participants of SYRICI discussed some policy and academic problems of the present pesticide industry with the experts and representatives of China, who highly praised the conference held by GZU and SYRICI. After the meeting, the participants of SYRICI visited the Research& Development Center for the Fine Chemical Engineering of GZU.
