Jan 1949 Northeast Chemical Bureau Research Lab (predecessor of Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry) was established.
Apr 1953 Northeast Chemical Bureau Design Company Research Lab and Zhejiang Provincial Chemical Industry Research Institute Both merged to become part of the Central Ministry of Heavy Industry' s Chemical Bureau Beijing Chemical Research Institute, with Branches in Shenyang and Hangzhou.
Feb 1954 Beijing Institute, Hangzhou Institute and Shenyang Institute were merged to become the Ministry of Heavy Industry's Chemical Industry Bureau Chemical Industry Research Institute, "Shenyang Chemical Industry Research Institute" for short.
Jan 1955 The Ministry of Heavy Industry's Chemical Industry Bureau merged Shenyang Dyestuff Factory and Shenyang Chemical Industry Research Institute's Pilot Plant and changed the name of Shenyang Chemical Industry Research Institute to the Central Ministry of Heavy Industry's Northeast Chemical Industry Bureau Chemical Industry Comprehensive Research Institute.


 


 

Sep 1956 After the establishment of the Ministry of Chemical Industry, the name of Shenyang Chemical Industry Comprehensive Research Institute was changed to Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry(SYRICI) and the Chemical Fertilizer Department Laboratory was moved to Shanghai, where it merged with Tianli Chemical Factory and Shanghai Acid Factory to form Shanghai Research Institute of Chemical Industry.
Dec 1957 The Ministry of Chemical Industry moved SYRICI' s inorganic and paint labs to Tianjin, where they were merged with Tianjin Chemical Industry Research Institute and Yongming Paint Factory to from Tianjin Research Institute of Chemical Industry; plastics, rubber, macromolecules, part of organic synthesis and other related departments for chemical engineering, physical chemistry, analysis and information were moved to Beijing to establish Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry.
May 1958 SYRICI was renamed Beijing Research of Chemical Industry Shenyang Branch. In 1960, the title of Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry was restored and the institute was returned to direct supervision by the Ministry of Chemical Industry.
1956 to 1966 1965 The ministry of Chemical Industry moved SYRICI' s petrochemical engineering, anti-corrosives and part of the instrument automation group to Lanzhou to merge with Lanzhou Chemical Company Research Institute and Chemical Machinery Institute. The national defense industry was moved to Qinghai to form Liming institute of chemical industry. The same year, the organosilicone and engineering plastics moved to Sichuan and formed Chenguang institute of chemical industry.


 


 

Oct 1970 SYRICI was transferred to the provincial level and was placed under Liaoning Provincial Bureau of Petrochemical Industry.
1971 The chemical machinery plant of SYRICI became Shenyang Chemical Machinery Factory.
Jan 1978 SYRICI came back under the administration of the Ministry of Chemical Industry.
Jul 1987 The R&D center of photosensitive technological materials of Ministry of Chemical Industry was separated from SYRICI.



 

Jul 1999 The state Council approved the transformation of SYRICI into a science and technology enterprise directly under the central committee subject to the Central Enterprise Work Committee.
Mar 2003 The state Council' s State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission was established; SYRICI' s supervision was moved from the Central Enterprise Work Committee to the newly established commission.
Apr 2007 The state Council' s State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission approved the reorganization of China Sinochem Group Corporation and SYRICI; SYRICI became the wholly-owned subsidiary of the Sinochem Group.
Sep 2007 Sinochem Tianjin regrouped and merged Shenyang Cenkey Chemical Co., Ltd.



 

Oct 2008 Sinochem Tianjin regrouped and merged Shenyang Bomeida Chemical Co., Ltd.
Nov 2008 Under Sinochem Group' s consolidation plan, Shiying (Xiamen) venture Capital Co., Ltd. injected capital into SYRICI' s Pilot Plant, setting up Shenyang Sciencreat Chemicals Co., Ltd. with SYRICI as controlling shareholder.
Jul 2009 According to the Sinochem's requirement of reform and approved by Shenyang Administration for Industry and Commerce, the Institute was renamed Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry Co., Ltd, and the former design engineering center changed to Design Engineering Co., Ltd of SYRICI.
Jan 2010 SYRICI bought the 49% stock right of Shenyang Sciencreat which was held by Shiying(Xiamen) venture Capital Co., Ltd. The Sciencreat became wholly-owned subsidiary of SYRICI.
Sep 2012 SYRICI replaced 49% equity of Sinochem Agro Co., LTD with 51% equity of Shenyang Sciencreat Co., Ltd. After that, SYRICI held 49% equity of both Sinochem Agro and Sciencreat, means that the management entity of Sciencreat was transferred to Sinochem Agro Co., Ltd.
Dec 2012 In the way of negotiating transfer, SYRICI bought Shenyang Cenkey and Shenyang Bomeida. Bomeida became the wholly-owned subsidiary and Cenkey, holding subsidiary.
Dec 2014 SYRICI transferred 49% stock right of Sinochemagro and Shenyang Sciencreat to Sinochem crop protector limited company.
Jun 2015 Incorporation of Shenyang Sinochem Pesticide Industry R&D Ltd.
Feb 2016 Incorporation of Shenyang Sinochem Advanced Material Sicence and Technology Ltd.
Oct 2016 SYRICI signed the equity transfer agreement with Sinochem International and Pesticide R&D Ltd, which transferred the Pesticide R&D to Sinochem International.
Nov 2016 SYRICI signed the equity transfer agreement with Sinochem Tianjin, and transfer Shenyang Bomeida to Sinochem Tianjin.
