On Jan 8th, Prof. Liu Tiangang came to SYRICI for academic exchanges. Vice-president Li Xu hosted the exchange conference which also attended executive vice-president Xu Weichang, director of scientific research office Sun Zhaohui and all the staff of biotechnology Laboratory.

Prof. Liu has been mainly working on synthetic biology, biological metabolic engineering, biofuel, microorganism pharmacy, etc. In the meeting, Prof. Liu gave a report titled Synthetic Biotechnology Promotes the Bioindustry Revolution, in which he introduced the bioindustry progress in the recent ten years and the current work direction of Wuhan Biotechnology Research Institute. Both parts held a discussion on the development of new biofuel and researched a cooperative purpose.

The biotechnology Lab has already built a scientific research operating report system and will invite regularly scholars at home and aboard to proceed technological exchanges, which will improve the scientific research quality of SYRICI and promote the mechanism reform.
