On May 15th, Mr. Liu Changling, chief engineer of SYRICI, was selected to the 2015 academician candidate list of CAE.

Totally there are 521 candidates selected, which including 2 of the group company. According to the procedures, the newly selected academicians, for maximum 75, will be voted by al the academicians.

Mr. Liu has been working on the new pesticide discovery research. He has had the honor to get Liaoning Excellent Expert Award, National Excellent Scientific and Technical Worker Award, Hou Debang Chemical Science and Technology Award, 2nd prize of 2003 National Technical Invention, 1st prize of Petrochemical Association Scientific and Technological Progress.

“Intermediate derivatization method” that was concluded and put forward by Mr. Liu has been highly regarded at home and aboard. The new types of pesticides invented by him have produced favorable economic and social benefits.

Mr. Liu is also vice chairman and secretary-general of pesticide specialized committee of CIESC, editor-in-chief of the Pesticide magazine.
